Day 1Tangier - Chefchaouen

Arrive in Tangier by boat or plane to begin our 6-day tour, heading to the Blue City of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Known for its blue-washed buildings, the town features cobbled streets lined with leather and weaving workshops. Visit Place Outa el Hammam, the Kasbah, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Great Mosque with its iconic octagonal minaret. The name Chefchaouen comes from the Berber word meaning “look at the horns,” referring to the two mountain peaks that provide stunning panoramic views of the medina.

After exploring the city, Accommodation will be provided at a hotel or riad for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2Chafchaouen - Fes

After a hearty breakfast, we drive to Fes, passing through the scenic landscapes of the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the Royal Palace and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), followed by a stop at a viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the entire Medina, including the Torre del Sur and several mosques.

Next, we’ll walk through the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its labyrinthine alleys are home to various guilds, including potters, dyers, and many others. The lively atmosphere will transport you back in time, and you’ll notice that this medieval city has remained virtually unchanged, with the La Magana Bou Inania clocktower standing for over 1,200 years. After some free time for lunch, we’ll transfer you to your hotel or riad.

Day 3Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga Sahara Desert

After breakfast, we head towards the Sahara Desert, with stops in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and a cedar forest to see Barbary monkeys. We’ll enjoy a lunch break along the way before continuing through the Ziz Valley, stopping at a viewpoint for panoramic views.

In the afternoon, we’ll reach the desert, where camels will take you to a luxury or traditional camp. On the way, enjoy a sunset from the dunes. After settling into your private tent, freshen up and savor a delicious dinner. The evening ends with a bonfire, Berber drumming, and a magical desert ambiance.

Day 4Merzouga Sahara Desert - Rissani - Tinghir - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley - Boumalne Dades

Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, followed by a leisurely breakfast and shower at the camp. You can choose to ride camels or take a 4×4 back to the starting point. Continue your 6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech, visiting the Rissani market (on market days), and passing through Berber villages like Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir. Explore the lush Todra Valley and the stunning Todra Gorge. After lunch, head to Boumalne Dades and arrive in the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel or riad.

Day 5Boumalne Dades - Dades Gorges - Rose Valley - High Atlas Mountains - Tizi N'Tichka - Marrakech

After an early breakfast in Boumalne Dades, we start our scenic drive through the Dades Valley, with a brief stop at the Dades Valley, famous for its Kasbahs and palm groves, and visit Dades Gorge for incredible views of the winding cliffs. We then continue through the Rose Valley and High Atlas Mountains, enjoying breathtaking views of the rugged landscapes and remote villages. After a delicious lunch in a traditional village, we pass the Tizi N’Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech by evening. Accommodation will be provided at a hotel or riad for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 6Marrakech - Transfer to the Airport

Yes, you can go sandboarding in the sand dunes near our camp in the Merzouga Desert.

What happens to your luggage when you go on the camel ride?

During the camel ride, you will only take what’s necessary. The rest of your luggage will be transported by the camp’s car 4×4 and will be waiting for you at the camp.

What is the alternative to camels?

* If you do not wish to take the camel ride, the camp offers a 4×4 vehicle that can transport people and luggage to and from the camp.

*Alternatively, ATVs can be arranged for an additional cost.

Are the tents private or shared at the desert camp?

The tents are always private, but the difference is that at the standard camp, the bathroom is shared, while at the luxury camp, the tents are private and have ensuite bathrooms.

Is electricity available at the desert camp?

Yes, the camp is equipped with electricity generated from solar panels.

While our vehicles are new and comfortable, and we make regular stops along the way, if you are not accustomed to this level of travel, you may wish to consider a longer tour, such as our other itinerary from Tangier to Marrakech via sahara desert, to reduce the daily driving time.

Pick-up and Drop-off Details?

The meeting point for the tour is at 8:30 a.m. at any location within Tangier. If your riad is accessible by car, we will pick you up directly from there. If not, we will arrange to pick you up from the nearest accessible road. This can be confirmed upon booking.

At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at the airport in Marrakech, or any location in the city.
