During this 3 days tour from Errachidia, you will explore the beautiful desert region. You’ll visit nomads living in their traditional tents and experience the Gnawa music and dance performed by the people of Khamlia. After that, you’ll see an old eyeliner mine and enjoy the peaceful wildlife lake near Merzouga. You will also take a walk through the palm grove, ride camels across the golden sand dunes, and enjoy a breathtaking sunset and sunrise in the desert.
On the second night, you’ll stay in a desert camp in the heart of the Sahara, where you can feel the magic of the desert at night. On the last day, you’ll visit the traditional souk (market) in Rissani and Erfoud, the famous fossil town. The tour ends when we drop you off in Errachidia.
Your 3-day tour from Errachidia to Merzouga desert begins with a pick-up from Moulay Ali Cherif Airport in Errachidia, followed by a direct drive to Merzouga. Since most flights arriving at Errachidia Airport are in the evening or at night, you will be transferred directly to Merzouga. Enjoy an overnight stay at a hotel in Merzouga.
After breakfast. We drive 4×4 to explore around the Sahara Desert, Our Desert Excursion begins with a visit to local nomadic families living in traditional tents. We will drink tea with them and learn about their way of life in the Sahara desert. Next, we head to Khamlia Village to experience the unique sounds of Gnawa music, explore the local museum, enjoy traditional tea, and try Berber pizza for meal lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Lake Dayet Srji, a popular spot for birdwatching, and then explore a small Oasis near the dunes.
Next, we will make our way to the hotel , where you will relax until the time of the camel trek to the camp. When its time, where your camels will be waiting to take you across the golden dunes to your luxury or traditional Desert Camp. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to watch the sunset from a high dune. Once we arrive at the campsite, the staff will escort you to your private tent, where you can relax and freshen up with a shower. After a delicious dinner, the team will light a bonfire, and you can enjoy the warm atmosphere while the Berbers drum and sing, creating a magical desert evening.
Wake up early in the morning to contemplate the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After enjoying some free time for breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 vehicle, where your driver awaits. From there, we will leave the desert and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a major trading center in the region, with a large souk that comes alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After strolling through the Rissani souk, we will continue to Erfoud, where we will visit one of the workshops that produce fossilized marble.
Next, we will continue to Errachidia through the village of Aoufous, reaching the beautiful Ziz Valley. We will stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the stunning landscapes and take pictures before heading to Errachidia, where we will drop you off at the airport or hotel, marking the end of your 3-day tour from Errachidia.

This 3-day desert tour starts from Errachidia and ends at any location in Errachidia.
The distance between Errachidia and Merzouga, is approximately 50 to 60 kilometers (around 31 to 37 miles) by road, depending on the route you take.
It typically takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to drive, as the road is well-paved and connects the two locations fairly directly.
The 3-day tour is a private experience, limited to the travelers who book it. No additional participants will join. We focus on providing personalized, high-quality tours, which is why we primarily offer private options.
The vehicle will either be an SUV (4×4) or a minivan, both equipped with A/C.

Minivans: Mercedes Vito Tourer or Ford Custom Van (up to 8 passengers)
For groups larger than 8, a Minibus with a capacity of up to 18 passengers can be provided.
The camel ride lasts between 50 minutes and 1.5 hours, depending on which camp you are staying at.
Yes, you can go sandboarding in the sand dunes near our camp in the Merzouga Desert.
During the camel ride, you will only take what’s necessary. The rest of your luggage will be transported by the camp’s car 4×4 and will be waiting for you at the camp.
* If you do not wish to take the camel ride, the camp offers a 4×4 vehicle that can transport people and luggage to and from the camp.
*Alternatively, ATVs can be arranged for an additional cost.
The tents are always private, but the difference is that at the standard camp, the bathroom is shared, while at the luxury camp, the tents are private and have ensuite bathrooms.
Yes, the camp is equipped with electricity generated from solar panels.

This tour is suitable for individuals of all ages. However, please note that the tour involves approximately 4 to 5 hours of driving each day. While our vehicles are new and comfortable, and we make regular stops along the way, if you are not accustomed to this level of travel, you may wish to consider a longer tour, such as our other itinerary with more days via sahara desert, to reduce the daily driving time.
We will pick you up at Errachidia Airport and travel directly to Merzouga. At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at Errachidia Airport or any location in the city.
