The 3 days desert tour from Marrakech begins by picking you up from your hotel/riad or any location in Marrakech city and then taking the road towards Boumalne Dades. Passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), with long-distance views over the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber villages, We continue our road to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has been featured in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and more, as well as in the TV series Game of Thrones.

Then, we head to Ouarzazate, also known as ‘The Gate of the Desert,’ where you’ll have free time for lunch. Following this, we drive through the beautiful Rose Valley, passing by the large palm grove of Skoura. Finally, we reach Boumalne Dades, where we will spend the night in hotel or riad.  

Day 2Boumalne Dades - Dades Gorges - Tinghir - Todra Gorges - Touroug - Tinjdad - Erfoud - Merzouga Sahara Desert

After breakfast, our 3 days from Marrakech to Merzouga tour begins with a drive through the Dades Valley, stopping to admire the stunning Dades Gorges. Day 3Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Alnif - Nkob - Draa Valley - Agdez - Anti Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Start your day with an unforgettable experience by climbing the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to watch the sunrise. As the first light touches the golden sands, you’ll experience a moment of complete calm, with the vast desert stretching out before you. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and shower at the camp. You can either ride the camels again or take a 4WD transfer back to the starting point, where you’ll meet your driver.

We then drive back to Marrakech, passing through the arid pre-desert landscape, where you’ll see acacia trees typical of the region. On the way to the Draa Valley, we’ll make stops to admire the stunning views of the river, the longest in Morocco.

Our journey continues towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains. We’ll have some free time for lunch in the city before continuing towards Marrakech, where we’ll arrive in the late afternoon or evening. What happens to your luggage when you go on the camel ride?

During the camel ride, you will only take what’s necessary. The rest of your luggage will be transported by the camp’s car 4×4 and will be waiting for you at the camp.

Are the tents private or shared at the desert camp?

The tents are always private, but the difference is that at the standard camp, the bathroom is shared, while at the luxury camp, the tents are private and have ensuite bathrooms.

Is electricity available at the desert camp?

Yes, the camp is equipped with electricity generated from solar panels.

We accommodate all dietary preferences?

Please provide us with any dietary preferences you may have, and we will ensure that your needs are met. Kindly inform us of your preferences in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements for lunch stops and notify the hotel, riad, or camp accordingly, as dinners are included in the package.
