The 3 days desert tour from Marrakech begins by picking you up from your hotel/riad or any location in Marrakech city and then taking the road towards Boumalne Dades. Passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), with long-distance views over the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber villages, We continue our road to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has been featured in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and more, as well as in the TV series Game of Thrones.
Then, we head to Ouarzazate, also known as ‘The Gate of the Desert,’ where you’ll have free time for lunch. Following this, we drive through the beautiful Rose Valley, passing by the large palm grove of Skoura. Finally, we reach Boumalne Dades, where we will spend the night in hotel or riad.
After breakfast, our 3 days from Marrakech to Merzouga tour begins with a drive through the Dades Valley, stopping to admire the stunning Dades Gorges. We continue to the Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has carved a dramatic canyon. After lunch, we travel through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, and Erfoud, arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, we ride camels across the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping to watch a magical sunset. We then head to the luxury/Traditional desert camp, where you’ll enjoy the welcoming Tea and Berber drum music, dancing, and a delicious dinner under the stars.
Start your day with an unforgettable experience by climbing the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to watch the sunrise. As the first light touches the golden sands, you’ll experience a moment of complete calm, with the vast desert stretching out before you. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and shower at the camp. You can either ride the camels again or take a 4WD transfer back to the starting point, where you’ll meet your driver.
We then drive back to Marrakech, passing through the arid pre-desert landscape, where you’ll see acacia trees typical of the region. On the way to the Draa Valley, we’ll make stops to admire the stunning views of the river, the longest in Morocco.
Our journey continues towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains. We’ll have some free time for lunch in the city before continuing towards Marrakech, where we’ll arrive in the late afternoon or evening. You’ll be transferred to your hotel, riad, or any location in the city, marking the end of your 3 days Desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.

The drive typically takes around 6 to 7 hours by car, though the journey time can vary depending on road conditions and stops along the way. we make this trip as part of a desert tour, passing through Tizi N’Tichka, Ouarzazate, Boumalne, Tinghir, and Merzouga desert.
The 3 days tour is a private experience, limited to the travelers who book it. No additional participants will join. We focus on providing personalized, high-quality tours, which is why we primarily offer private options.
The vehicle will either be an SUV (4×4) or a minivan, both equipped with A/C.
Vehicle Details:
Car 4×4: Land Cruiser Prado (up to 4 passengers)
Minivans: Mercedes Vito Tourer or Ford Custom Van (up to 8 passengers)
For groups larger than 8, a Minibus with a capacity of up to 18 passengers can be provided.
The camel ride lasts between 50 minutes and 1.5 hours, depending on which camp you are staying at.
Yes, you can go sandboarding in the sand dunes near our camp in the Merzouga Desert.
* If you do not wish to take the camel ride, the camp offers a 4×4 vehicle that can transport people and luggage to and from the camp.
*Alternatively, ATVs can be arranged for an additional cost.
During the camel ride, you will only take what’s necessary. The rest of your luggage will be transported by the camp’s car 4×4 and will be waiting for you at the camp.
The tents are always private, but the difference is that at the standard camp, the bathroom is shared, while at the luxury camp, the tents are private and have ensuite bathrooms.
Yes, the camp is equipped with electricity generated from solar panels.

Kindly inform us of your preferences in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements for lunch stops and notify the hotel, riad, or camp accordingly, as dinners are included in the package.
This tour is suitable for individuals of all ages. However, please note that the tour involves approximately 5 to 7 hours of driving each day. While our vehicles are new and comfortable, and we make regular stops along the way, if you are not accustomed to this level of travel, you may wish to consider a longer tour, such as our other itinerary from Marrakech to Merzouga, to reduce the daily driving time.
The meeting point for the tour is at 8:30 a.m. at any location within Marrakech. If your riad is accessible by car, we will pick you up directly from there. If not, we will arrange to pick you up from the nearest accessible road. This can be confirmed upon booking.
At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, or at the nearest available parking area. The tour typically concludes between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Marrakech, though the exact duration may vary depending on the time spent at each location.
