The 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora begins by picking you up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech and then taking the road towards Zadora. Passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), with long-distance views over the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber villages, we do a short visit in the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and stop somewhere for lunch in a local restaurant along the way, After lunch, drive through Ouarzazate and the Anti-Atlas Mountains and Draa Valley, the largest palm plantation in Morocco.

Arrive in Zagora for a camel trek, enjoy a desert sunset, and spend the night at a Sahara camp with Moroccan dinner and live drumming under the stars.  

Day 2Zagora - Nkob - Tinghir

After an early wake-up to witness the magical sunrise, followed by a warm Moroccan breakfast, we depart for Tinghir through the lush Draa Valley, dotted with palm groves and Berber villages. We stop to take pictures and continue our journey, passing through the village of Tafetchna. We then arrive at Nkob Village, where we stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we explore Nkob, a traditional Berber village at the base of the Saghro Mountains.

Next, we cross through the rugged Saghro Mountains, with dramatic rock formations and views of remote Berber villages. Finally, we arrive in Tinghir and spend the night at a hotel or riad. 

Day 3Tinghir - Todgha Gorges - Boumalne Dades - Dades Gorges - Kalaat M'Gouna - Skoura - Kasbah Amridil - Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will head west for a short drive to discover the charm of Todgha Gorges, known for its towering 300-meter cliffs and narrow passageways. Carved by the Todra River, the gorges offer stunning natural beauty and are popular for hiking, rock climbing, and photography. The area is also home to local Berber communities, adding cultural charm to this breathtaking landscape.

Next, we’ll head to Boumalne Dades for dramatic views and the famous Dades Gorges. Afterward, we will stop at Kelaat M’Gouna to visit the Rose Valley and explore the local rose products. We’ll then continue our journey to Skoura, where we’ll visit the impressive Kasbah Amridil. Finally, we will arrive in Ouarzazate and check into our hotel or riad for the night. 

Day 4Ouarzazate - Teluate - Tizi N'Tichka - Marrakech

You can go directly to the camp,  If you do not wish to take the camel ride. 

What happens to your luggage when you go on the camel ride?

During the camel ride, you will only take what’s necessary. The rest of your luggage will be transported by the camp’s car 4×4 and will be waiting for you at the camp.

Are the tents private or shared at the desert camp?

The tents are always private, but the difference is that at the standard camp, the bathroom is shared, while at the luxury camp, the tents are private and have ensuite bathrooms.

Is electricity available at the desert camp?

Yes, the camp is equipped with electricity generated from solar panels.

We accommodate all dietary preferences?

Please provide us with any dietary preferences you may have, and we will ensure that your needs are met. Kindly inform us of your preferences in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements for lunch stops and notify the hotel, riad, or camp accordingly, as dinners are included in the package.

While our vehicles are new and comfortable, and we make regular stops along the way, if you are not accustomed to this level of travel, you may wish to consider a longer tour, such as our other itinerary from Marrakech to Merzouga, to reduce the daily driving time.

The meeting point for the tour is at 8:30 a.m. at any location within Marrakech. If your riad is accessible by car, we will pick you up directly from there. If not, we will arrange to pick you up from the nearest accessible road. This can be confirmed upon booking.

At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, or at the nearest available parking area. The tour typically concludes between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Marrakech, though the exact duration may vary depending on the time spent at each location.
