Throughout the journey, you’ll have plenty of chances to relax, take photos, and enjoy the local culture. By the end of the trip, you’ll have seen some of Morocco’s most stunning sights and learned about its rich history and traditions.
Best 6-day tour from Fes begins with a transfer from the airport to your hotel or riad. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to visit a part of the Fes Medina.
After a hearty breakfast, we begin our guided tour of the new part of the city. We’ll visit the Royal Palace and the Jewish quarter (Mellah), followed by a stop at a viewpoint where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Medina, including the Torre del Sur and several mosques.
Next, we’ll walk through the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its labyrinthine alleys are home to various guilds, including potters, dyers, and many more. The lively atmosphere will transport you back in time. You’ll quickly notice that this medieval city has remained virtually unchanged, with time seemingly frozen on the clock at La Magana Bou Inania, which has been standing for over 1,200 years.
After breakfast, we travel toward the Sahara Desert. Our first stop will be the city of Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its cooler climate and alpine-style architecture. Next, we will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll make a stop in a cedar forest to observe the Barbary monkeys, which are native to the region.
Next, we will stop for meal lunch at a restaurant along the route. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley, a lush oasis filled with palm trees. We’ll take a break at a panoramic viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley. We will reach the desert in the afternoon, where your camels will be waiting to take you across the golden dunes to your luxury or traditional desert camp. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to watch the sunset from a high dune.
Once you arrive at the campsite, the staff will show you to your private tent, where you can relax and freshen up with a shower. After a delicious dinner, the team will light a bonfire, and you can enjoy the warm atmosphere while the Berbers drum and sing, creating a magical desert evening.
Wake up early for an unforgettable experience as you climb the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to watch the sunrise. As the first light touches the golden sands, you’ll experience a moment of complete tranquility, with the vast desert stretching out before you. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and shower at the camp.
Our Desert Excursion begins with a visit to local nomadic families living in traditional tents. We will drink tea with them and learn about their way of life in the Sahara desert. Next, we head to Khamlia Village to experience the unique sounds of Gnawa music, explore the local museum, enjoy traditional tea, and try Berber pizza for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Lake Dayet Srji, a popular spot for birdwatching, and then explore a small Oasis near the dunes. Finally, we make our way to a hotel or riad, where we will spend the night.
Start your day with an unforgettable experience by climbing the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to watch the sunrise. As the first light touches the golden sands, you’ll experience a moment of complete calm, with the vast desert stretching out before you. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a shower at the camp. You can either ride the camels again or transfer by 4×4 back to the starting point, where you’ll meet your driver. Continue your 6 days tour from Fes to Marrakech.
We will visit the weekly market of Rissani if it’s one of the market days (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday). We’ll pass through small Berber villages such as Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir, where we’ll stop to admire its beautiful Todra Valley, full of palm trees and vegetation. We continue to the Todra Gorge, located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, a famous place for rock climbers. We’ll have free time to walk through its towering canyons. Afterward, we’ll have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll travel to Boumalne Dades, and by evening, we’ll arrive in the Dades Valley. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad.
After an early breakfast in Boumalne Dades, we start our scenic drive through the Dades Valley, with a brief stop at the Dades Valley, famous for its Kasbahs and palm groves, and visit Dades Gorge for incredible views of the winding cliffs.
